Monday in Makgadikgadi

Simiso Thaba, manager at the Makgadikgadi Adventure Camp says that the three roads that converge at the Tshwagong Veterinary Gate link the whole of Botswana.

He says tourists come in large numbers from across the globe passing through from the Makgadikgadi Pans,  Chobe, the Okavango Delta and beyond. Also passing through the gate are local farmers and people from the neighbouring cattle posts who make up the community of permanent residents, many of  them from families who have lived in the area for generations.

Here are a few frame grabs from the footage we shot during our recent research trip for an upcoming film about the Makgadikgadi Pans.
